Singing is the mother tongue of all people - Yehudi Menuhin
There is a nice story from my home town from the time of the Reformation. When the mayor Flörke sent his council servants to the churches to identify the singers of the new faith , they reported back sadly: "Mr. Mayor, they are all singing", whereupon the mayor called out: "Eh, everything is lost!
No, all was not lost, but something great had begun. It is a privilege to be able to accompany people when they sing. Songs have always magically cast a spell over me, I accompany them and they accompany me. With the songs come the people who accompany me. Here are a few stations of this journey:
